St. Paul, Minnesota
| St. Paul, like other cities, has fascinating architectural styles. Here are a few pictures of buildings that caught my eye. | .
The St. Paul Cathedral. |
| The Capitol building for Minnesota. No, the capital is not in Minneapolis, it's in St. Paul. This is where the current govenor, Jesse "The Mind" Ventura, passes down his edicts, much to the rejoicing of the masses (yeah, well, whatever). |
The largest mall in the states is in St. Paul, the Mall of America they call it. Anyway, in this mall there is a section full of, well, my second favourite thing.... The clock to the left is a little larger than the one I built. It rises two stories. The engine mechanic below is lifesize. That's alotta LEGO bricks. |
| A few Legosaurus Rex's. This is fun. |
Here's me, sitting on my not-so-high horse. And here's something interesting, a LEGO submarine. Wonder how that fits into my life? |
| LEGO shuttle, space station and astronauts, with the Earth in the background. Nice. I'm having the time of my life. |
We go into the science store and what do I find? A dino skeleton with a teletubby in its jaws and one in its stomach. I almost laughed. |
| On day 3, we drove through St. Paul, admiring the buildings, doing tourist things. Then we ended up at the Mall of America, where there is a huge LEGO display. I was good--didn't buy one set, though I did pick up a T shirt for a nephew of mine... (Don't tell him, it's a surprise from Uncle Dave.) There will be no pictures on Sunday. Monday we're off to Ely, Minnesota. See you then. |
