Sailor Pluto is my favourite sailor senshi. Basically, she's my favourite anime character, but that's neither here nor there. I have created a character on Everquest named Setsuna. Check out my Miscellaneous Page to see pictures of Setsuna on EQ.
The question has come up, "Why Setsuna?"
K, here's the thing--When I was young, CFMT, a local television station, showed these Japanese martial arts films on Saturday afternoons. I loved them. Nothing like Jackie Chan or the like, but old '60's Japanese films with campy monsters (not quite like Godzilla but close) and characters dressed in their royal attire. Lots of magic, mayhem and fun.
Well, one day there was a female lead, named Susan as read in the subtitles, but through the movie, she was called Setsuna. She was verry attractive (to a 9 year old) and that just stuck in the back of my mind.
So the years passed, and I gradually forgot about that time, though I kept an affinity for the name Susan, (had a 'passing interest' in a few Sue's at WHS, but that's another story).
Then a friend of mine at Redeemer was into Japanese animation, especially Sailor Moon, so I started seeing a few eps. with her. Being a hopeless romantic, I loved the whole Serena/Darien story (destined to be together and all that).
Then I started surfing the 'net for sm related stuff and found out that one of the characters (rarely shown in the North American dub) was named Setsuna.
Setsuna, in sm, also bears a striking resemblance to a long lost love of mine (not the green hair or anything, although she was also a brunette), who will remain nameless.
So there you are.
