| Everquest is an on-line role-playing game that I play whenever possible. My character's name is Setsuna. She's a Ranger who appreciates nature and is a protector of the bears of Surefall Glade. You can find Setsuna hanging around Blackburrow, killing her sworn enemy, the gnolls. Setsuna was chosen because a) I'm a pretty big Xena: Warrior Princess fan (she really kicks butt!) and b) I appreciate Sailor Pluto. Why a female character? No, it's not whatever you think it is... it's ROLE-PLAYING... get over it! |

This is Setsuna, a Ranger in her 15th season. She is standing on top of the stone snout of a blackburrow carving. This carving in the side of the cliff is really an entrance into the Blackburrow lair where the gnolls live. Gnolls are Setsuna's most hated enemies. Many a battle have been fought between Setsuna and the Blackburrow clan. Recently Setsuna got a little tipsy and was ambushed by these vile creatures, but she prevailed. Okay, she was completely wasted but has since sworn off alcohol (tolerance 65) due to this run-in. |

| Surefall Glade is where Setsuna hangs her quiver (archery 51). It's a beautiful place to call home. Setsuna is a protector of the bears of Surefall. Karana curse the fool who dares harm any bears in the glade while Setsuna is at home. |

Sometimes Setsuna takes a canoe out into the wild blue ocean--in this instance it's a little lake but who really cares? She just does this when she's sick of swimming (81) places. During one of her canoeing excursions, Setsuna came across a mermaid--what wild and varied lands. |

On the long trips from one continent to the next, Setsuna boards a large sailing ship. The problem is, sometimes there's a shipwreck. |

Windmills!! A very neat thing to see. Setsuna just stumbled across these buildings whilst on a quest for a Trueshot Bow. She was in a very strange land but it was exciting. |
| A little action--the Executioner is fighting with a local Qeynos resident who was in cahoots with the Gnolls of Blackburrow. |

A dark yet lovely scene from the middle of the frozen north - Everfrost. These are the ruins of an ancient civilization which are now inhabited by the snow orcs. |
| Setsuna joined a group of fellow travellers hanging out in front of the dungeon called Splitpaw in South Karana. Many ugly beasties show up, from the bird-men called Aviaks, to centaurs and Splitpaw Gnolls, a distant cousin of the hated Blackburrow Gnolls. |

At long last, Setsuna joined a guild--The Valiant Crusaders. After many invites to a variety of different guilds, Setsuna made a decision to join one that had friends she had fought beside since she was in her 7th season. Note her Trueshot Longbow (fletching 132). She's pretty proud of it--after all, she had to complete a most dangerous quest (well, dangerous to her when she was in her 15 th season). Now Setsuna is entering her 25th season. |

Then I took a boat trip to the Ocean of Tears. I'm standing on top of a tall natural spire, (which I accidentally stepped off and got 632 non-melee damage, which almost killed me). From my vantage I got to see the boat passing by. |

| Ocean of Tears is appropriately named for the alluring sirens call adventurering travellers to their doom if they're not careful. |

Back in South Karanas--that was a long trip. A few fellow travellers and myself take on gnolls (again), just because they are my most hated enemy (and have some good treasure!) Here we are in front of the Splitpaw Spires.
I don't know why I seem to be taking my screen caps at night, but there you are.

| While hanging out in South Karana, I saw a group of fellow travellers take on a wandering ephalant. It's always a sight to see one of these mighty beasts in a battle. |

| My nephew, Erik, played my character on EQ a few times. He liked it enuf to make a few drawings... Have a boo! He also started his own character so when he comes over he can play. |
